NYC’s architecture is a rich resource for interdisciplinary arts programming.
This 2-part video conference PD (Fridays 4/17 & 4/24 from 3-5 pm) will introduce you to the fundamentals of architecture and design and provide you with digital activities to use and share with your K – 6th grade students. Topics will include how to draw buildings, how to “read” buildings for information about their design and history, architecture and design vocabulary, and simple hands-on activities kids can do at home.
Participants will be asked to complete a simple design activity following Session I (4/17/20) to share as part of Session II (4/24/20).
