by
Creating S.M.A.R.T.S. Success: Goal-Setting and Documenting Progress
Target Audience: This intensive workshop is intended for all caseworkers and staff within DYCD-funded programs that provide case management services.
Description: What does it take to stay on track and achieve one’s goals? Think of a personal goal that you have set, or a change you wanted to make. What kept you on track to reaching this goal? How did you know when you achieved your desired outcome? Most likely, your goal was a SMART one!
By making goals Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-framed and accurately documenting progress, we build a pathway to successful outcomes. Developing goals in collaboration with clients, forming an action plan for achieving these goals, and checking in on milestones along the way is a deeply empowering process that paves the road to success. Through interactive activities, the use of case studies, and role plays, you will learn how to prioritize concerns into measurable goals, collaboratively monitor progress toward desired outcomes, and document progress that directly connects to the stated goals of clients.
