DYCD PYD & YL Cohort Virtual Meeting

During these chaotic times convening with people that are in the same or similar boat as you can help cope with the anxiety, unknowingness and the lack of community. Over the next few weeks until further notice, YDI will be hosting weekly convenings for people that have participated in our DYCD Cohorts. In these virtual sessions we will use the DYCD PYD and YL Frameworks as a lens to discuss challenges and solutions for engaging participants, families and community in a virtual space. Further we will look at best practices, share tools and keep the field as updated on how Covid-19 is impacting the non-profit field and ways we can collaborate as a community. These sessions will be geared towards Directors, Multi-Site Supervisors and Executive Directors.

The Youth Development Institute is committed to creating a space that is secure and safe for our participants. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure that our Zoom meetings are safe so that our participants can engage in learning without fear of getting “Zoom Bombed”. Only registered participants will be allowed into the meeting by the host. We ask participants to not share the Zoom link information with people that are not registered because they will not be allowed to enter. There will be a waiting room prior to trainings so participants can sign on in advance and test their equipment. Lastly, we will be sharing a short video that explains how to use some Zoom features, tips and trick for looking good on camera and an explanation of the steps we have taken in our Zoom settings to ensure for a safe experience.
