As the field shifts from TABE 9 & 10 to TABE 11 & 12, a lot of questions come to mind such as: How is TABE 11 / 12 different from the current version? How will these changes impact program plans & budget? What literacy and numeracy skills are students assumed to have acquired to successfully pass this new version of the TABE? What implications does this have upon instruction? How does it align with the state standards? What’s different about TABE 11 & 12 format and contents? How will it change the way the test is administered and scored?

This workshop will focus primarily on the new standardized procedures for administering and scoring the TABE 11 and 12 using the new TABE Directions and Scoring Guides. It will provide participants with a brief overview of the TABE 11 and 12, highlighting the differences in its format, contents, and guidelines for administration and scoring. Participants will become familiar with the types of questions asked on the test and the depth of knowledge required of the examinee to successfully respond to these questions. Lastly, they will be able to correlate the test results with the NRS Functional Levels and properly place students at the appropriate class levels.

This professional development opportunity is provided at no cost to you but has a value of $3750 for DYCD.  If you register for and are subsequently unable to attend this session you are responsible for cancelling your registration or risk being waitlisted for future events.
