Level 1 – Introduction to Group Facilitation – Session #5

This introductory training is ideal for line staff who wish to gain familiarity with the art form of virtual group facilitation. This 12-hour session is completed over the course of 6 sessions, each lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours. Sessions will allow an individual to understand the key concepts associated with virtual group facilitation, regardless of the platform (Zoom, Skype, Google Hangouts etc.) or the number of participants. Participants will be guided through an experiential process that will help them understand the key differences between facilitation and instruction with an emphasis on design of session and use of activities as a way of engaging participants. Session will cover all aspects of group facilitation from Ice Breaker to Reflection with all things in between. Ideal for any staff member of any level who wants to be able to move groups of individuals from one level to the next.
