Description:
Providing group support for young people can be a connecting and supportive experience, but how do you manage all of the different personalities? What do you do when one group member takes over or another group member refuses to participate? This group facilitation skills training is designed to support facilitators, enhance skills and offer effective tools and strategies to:
Screen potential participants for “good fit”
- Determine purpose and goals of the group
- Set the tone
- Engage group members
- Create structure
- Address challenging behaviors/personalities
Using role plays and engaging activities, participants will leave with tools for ensuring the productivity of groups in order to help members grow and connect in a safe welcoming space.
