Next Steps: Integrating Social and Emotional Learning into Your Program (3-part ONLINE workshop)
by
You’ve taken our foundational workshop on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and now understand what it is and why it’s a key component of positive youth development. You might be asking yourself, “Now what?” How do you communicate this important information to your staff? How do you begin to reshape your program so that SEL is a part of every facet of what you do?
In this workshop, take the next steps to seamlessly integrate SEL into your work as a program director and create a community where every voice can flourish. You will receive training on SEL skills such as active listening, managing feelings, de-escalating conflict, and problem solving. Engaging activities and small group discussions will allow you to practice these SEL skills and deepen your understanding of their powerful application in your life and the lives of your students. Finally, you will work on infusing SEL into your personal leadership style in a way that will allow SEL to grow throughout your site.
