Preparing Youth for Success on Math Assessments

At every level of our youth’s learning experience there is some form of assessment, whether that assessment is the math for TABE 11 & 12, the math section on the TASC or even the math on the SAT’s. No matter the assessment there are instructional practices that will learners be best prepared and put them in the position to succeed. In this workshop, we identify these practices, and engage activities that model these practices. We will also discuss how to help youth deal with math and test anxiety.

Audience: Instructional staff, test prep instructors or tutors
