Thank you for your interest in attending a centralized Ramapo workshop, funded through the Department of Youth and Community Development. In order to register for this workshop, your program must receive funding through DYCD.
This series is designed for staff members that play a leadership role in their programs, such as site directors, assistant directors, area specialists and group leaders. Over 4 sessions participants will explore in depth the Ramapo Toolbox for Creating Environments that Support Success with the goal of sharing their expertise in their programs through modeling, coaching, and training. Participants will identify specific practices, structures and routines for incorporating role modeling and relationship building into their program. Participants will learn how to create, teach and reinforce clear and meaningful program expectations that keep participants safe and support program goals and values. Participants will learn to facilitate the creation of behavior plans for individual students and will practice protocols for helping young people and adults learn from mistakes and resolve conflicts. In addition, to exploring and practicing the strategies in the Ramapo Toolbox, participants will learn strategies for implementing these tools in their program by adapting program structures, facilitating staff development and coaching colleagues using Ramapo’s Coaching Model. Programs that participate in this series will send a cohort of 3 staff members. Participating programs will also receive 1-2 days of on-site follow-up coaching to help support the implementation of action plans.
