Target Audience: This intensive workshop is intended for all education specialists, caseworkers, program directors, supervisors, and program staff within DYCD-funded programs that provide case management services.
Description:
Working Together: Diversity and Inclusion Practices is a TWO-session training. In the first interactive workshop participants will gain an understanding of diversity and inclusion practices within programs, clarify the importance and impacts of such practices, and learn inclusive behaviors to ensure all clients and co-workers are safe, respected and affirmed.
In the follow up session on May 19th (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.) participants will workshop specific examples and experiences from their programs and will continue to explore bias, discrimination, micro-aggressions, positive language, and further map intersectionality.
Facilitated by: Dr. Melinda Konigsberg, Access Consultation and Psychology, PC
