This intensive workshop is the second part of the Working Together series. All regsitrants for this workshop must attend the first session on March 12th from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. in order to attend this session. The session is intended for all education specialists, caseworkers, program directors, supervisors, and program staff within DYCD-funded programs that provide case management services.
Working Together: Diversity and Inclusion Practices is a TWO-session training. In the first full-day interactive workshop participants will gain an understanding of diversity and inclusion practices within programs, clarify the importance and impacts of such practices, and learn inclusive behaviors to ensure all clients and co-workers are safe, respected and affirmed.
In this follow up 2-hour session on May 19th, participants will workshop specific examples and experiences from their programs and will continue to explore bias, discrimination, micro-aggressions, positive language, and further map intersectionality.
