YFLA is a 501(c) (3) taking measures that are necessary for youths from low socio-economic communities living in poverty or marginally to receive FREE instructions to gain basic financial literacy skills for daily living. Purposes: 1) To promote the awareness & importance of financial literacy for effective money management to acquire skills for budgeting, saving & spending wisely as adults. 2) To provide activities & opportunities to gain financial literacy skills for better monetary choices in activities of daily living. 3) To facilitate acquisition of financial literacy in preparation for financial stability & economic empowerment as adults. All persons affiliated with the organization are volunteers & professionals in the fields of finance, social services, health care, education & business owners.
